I was wondering if people could please shed some light on what the dating scene in the New Brunswick area is like for a black woman like myself. I am sure that there are a lot of college students because on Rutgers, but are there also a lot of grad students or professionals there that are at least around my age or older? Do black women like myself usually end up dating black men or do they date inter-racially?
Inside the dating lives of jersey’s single millennials
Or is there no luck in the New Brunswick dating world for black women? Just trying to get an idea of what the dating situation for educated black women is like in New Brunswick. Looking forward to hearing some responses! Thanks in advance! Im sure there will be options though im sure someone may comment with actual experience in the area. You can always increase the distance that is acceptable to find someone as well.
I'm not sure what kind of grad students in New Brunswick would be worth dating. There isn't a med or law school there. A lot of those grad programs there are dead ends and the science ones are almost completely staffed with international workers who will be transient and quite poor for a long time. Not that there is anything wrong with that, just trying to give you an idea of who is there in a grad student sense. So it is possible she could meet a law student living there, maybe even med student, but probably not that likely.
She's definitely more likely to come across undergr and other grad students. I'm not even sure how one could differentiate - she'd have to start asking how old they are and what program they're in haha.
But OP you may have better luck in general if you go out elsewhere on the weekends, like to Hoboken, Jersey City, Morristown, even the city. You can take the train to basically all those places.
